MY WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY PHILOSOPHY
I believe videography is a rare opportunity to capture both meaningful and
fleeting moments. Video has a unique ability to preserve a moment by capturing
it in real time.
My videography philosophy is to focus on capturing what photography cannot.
Think of all the soundbites that will happen throughout your wedding day. Like
voices, laughter, music, your vows, speeches. I believe to hear something is to
remember. Sound is so important in taking you back in time, to tell your love story.
So I may not always get the detailed shot of your shoes, next to
the invitations (your amazing photographer will have you covered), but I will get
you hugging your mom or laughing with your best friend and dancing the night
away.
I want people who couldn't make it to your wedding, to watch your
film and say, "I felt like I was there."
My grandma is the inspiration behind Fleck Films. She passed away when I was 21 years old. We were extremely close and after she died, I struggled to find pictures and videos of her, so I could see her face and hear her voice. I had to call her old answering machine just to capture the sound of her voice.
It's true we don't always understand what we have until it's gone. My hope is your wedding film will always be there to help you remember the people. the laughter, the love.

So much of what I do and the films I create is driven by how it makes me feel. I know-- to some people that may sound wonky. But I am so connected to my couples, their story and my craft, that I trust what I'm feeling. I will let a moment linger, I will sit in a feeling and let my couples experience it. I think your film is more than a music video with pretty footage. It is more than just a highlight reel. It is however, a testament to your raw, real love and your film should be a true representation of what if feels like to love each other the way you do.
This intentionally takes time, effort, true understanding and a videographer that cares. I don't want to give you a music video. I want to give you a one of a kind keepsake.
I've had a camera in my hands for the past decade. I majored in visual story-telling and have my Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism. Telling powerful stories has been a passion of mine from a young age and I feel incredibly grateful to still be doing this work.
I'm also proud to be among some incredible female filmmakers in the currently male-dominated wedding videography industry.
