To be honest, Louisville is STACKED with incredible wedding venues.

From traditional, historic cathedrals to open air barn venues– options are endless. But I’m here to help you discover the best wedding venues in Louisville, Kentucky.

In order to keep things simple, my list with strictly include wedding venues I have personally filmed at. But read to the end for my list of best venues for wedding videography and I’ll include a few bucket list locations where I’d love to film a wedding.

1. Hazelnut Farms, Wilsonville KY- a premiere wedding venue in Louisville, Kentucky. One of the most stunning properties, year-round. From green, lush scenery in the summer to changing leaves and fall foliage in the Fall. Even on rainy days, this venue shines. Not to mention— my drone video is on their home page 🙂 The team running Hazelnut Farms is top-notch. Professional and decades of wedding planning experience. This is a fav for filming because there are so many photo/video opportunities for great images. Plus the rain back up plan options are just as amazing as the original plan. 2. Oxmoor Farm, Louisville KY-Your jaw will drop from the moment you enter the gates. Your first experience is driving up the mile-long, tree lined drive to the historic Bulliet home. You are immediately transported back in time. The gardens and library are truly iconic in Louisville. It is a fully operating farm and the team who help coordinate your wedding day are sweet and super helpful. So many stunning photo + video opportunities. Plus there is plenty of space on the property for both couples to get ready.
3. Hermitage Farm + Greenhouse, Goshen KY- a luxury, rural farm experience in the beautiful horse fields. This venue is unique, intimate and feels like Kentucky. Plus the food is exceptional! If cocktails, food and ambiance are your top 3 priorities, this might be the wedding venue for you.

BUCKET LIST WEDDING VENUES:

• Apiary– Lexington KY- Their website says it best, “where subtle nuances have the greatest impact.” This venue is a garden fairy-tale with the most incredible chef curating culinary magic for your wedding day.
• Farmington Historic Plantation– Louisville KY- A historic property with a beautiful courtyard garden filled with hydrangeas and flowers. The perfect, romantic spot for cocktail hour. The outdoor property has multiple ceremony locations and a large outdoor covered pavilion for your reception.
• 3rd Turn Brewery Oldham Gardens– Oldham County, KY- I filmed an adventure session here and the way the sunlight shimmers through the vines is magical. This venue is an operating brewery but has plenty of open space for celebrating. They have designated ceremony locations and all the string lights you can imagine. This is a down-to-earth outdoor venue with so much potential.
• Yew Dell Gardens, Oldham County, KY- A real life fairy tale. From the stone tower to the stunning gardens, this place is pure magic.
